How to get to the Botanical Garden

Botanical Garden – via orto botanico 15, 35123 Padova

Directions

Padova is about 30 km far from the Venice airport (Website); there is a bus service (Busitalia, Bus schedule) every half an hour to the bus terminal of Padova, next to the railway station.

The railway station is close to the town centre and you can arrive to the Botanical Garden by the blue tram (leaving every 10 minutes from the railway station, stop n.12-Santo in six minutes, Tram schedule).

For those coming by car, there are parking facilities next to Prato della Valle and in the surrounding area. Other parking options close to the venue are:

• Toll car park: PIAZZA RABIN (entrance from Via Giosuè Carducci); fixed rate: 1.00 €/hr
• Toll road parks in the surrounding areas (delimited by blue lines); rates varies from 1.10 to 1.70€/hr

The uncharged alternative is to leave the car in the free car parks outside the city center and reach the Botanical Garden by public transport:

• Via Piovese Parking. From the “Tangenziale Est” take the exit n. 12 (Via Piovese). From here it is possible to take a bus (line 16 or line 5) to reach the Botanical Garden Area
• Via Bembo Parking. From the “Tangenziale Est” take the exit n. 11 (Via Bembo). From here it is possible to take a bus (line 3) to reach the surroundings of the Botanical Garden
